Plant Markers:
How to Make Them, Part Two - Wrapping an Accent Tile

Step 7:  Now we will add an accent tile.  Cut about one foot of wire off the reel.  Separate off two strands, and set aside the 5-stranded piece left over.

Step 8:  Turn the accent tile to the back.  Lay the two-stranded wire across the tile longways, leaving about one half inch under your thumb to the left if you are right-handed.  You will work on th eright side first.  Reverse the process if you are left-handed.

Step 9:  Wrap the long part of of the wire around the right end of the tile three times, laying it neatly as you go.  Then twist the long and short ends of the wire together tightly to secure.

Step 10:  Turn the tile around, lay the wire across it nearly to the new right end, and hold it down with your thumb.

Step 11:  Wrap the new right end of the tile in the same way as before, then twist the ends of the wires together to secure.  You may need to pass part of the wire under the center to wrap it neatly.

Next - Attaching an Accent Tile.
